Cologne Cathedral

I have always wanted to travel to Cologne, Germany to visit the Cologne Cathedral. This masterpiece took 632 years to build. The first stone was laid in 1248 but construction was stopped for centuries due to lack of funding. This building survived heavy bombing raids during World War II and much of the surrounding city was destroyed. It is a beautiful piece of work and history that I would love to visit to see in person.

Colosseum

I would like to visit the Colosseum in Rome. It is the largest ancient amphitheater ever built and it is a symbol of Rome. Construction began around 72 AD and it opened in 80 AD with 100 days of games. Up to 80,000 spectators would gather to watch gladiator fights, re-enactments and animal hunts. I think this would be amazing to see in person and to explore more of it's history.

Smoky Mountains

I have been to the Smoky Mountains before, but it has been years. We are actually planning to go in mid to late October this year. I love the outdoor views there, and the attractions like Dollywood or Ripley's Aquarium. We are getting a secluded cabin and I am excited for the slow mornings, and seeing my son experience new things.
